Seriously—them and the first responders too. I’ll never forget this one scene where a young woman drove her car right into a train; I’m going to carry that image with me for the rest of my life. It was just... one of the most sickening things I've ever seen.

Maybe the answer lies in the counter-question: when is it considered appropriate, justified, or logical to put down a pet that’s basically a member of your family?
