Does anyone happen to know if the power indicator is supposed to be blinking or if it should just stay solid...

If it were wired incorrectly, it wouldn't light up at all—so you're good there. It’s totally normal; I have the power button on my Corsair 200R case constantly glowing, too.

The light on my Canon PIXMA series keeps blinking, yet I can't seem to get anything to copy... I was just wondering if this might be some kind of error...

What exactly are you trying to copy? What’s the specific issue you're running into?

p.s. I actually thought you were talking about the computer case rather than the printer—my bad! 😁 Have you tried installing the drivers for the Canon PIXMA series yet?

I just finished setting everything up, but then I realized I’m missing the USB cable to connect the printer to my computer... I didn't see one in the box. Is that something I can just pick up separately at a store like Best Buy?

It feels a little weird to me that you didn't get a cable included with the printer—though, yeah, you can pretty much pick one up at any Best Buy or tech shop around town.

Honestly, it’s way faster to just hit up the official HP support site and check the actual light codes than to sit around guessing on Reddit waiting for someone else to pop up with the exact same issue:
Blinking lights

Based on what you're saying, it sounds like those ink access doors aren't clicked shut all the way...
