Sometimes my sleep is fine, but then I hit these stretches where getting any rest at all feels impossible—I’ll end up with maybe three or four hours of shut-eye. For some reason, no matter how exhausted I am, I’ll drift off, only to snap awake after a few hours and find myself completely unable to go back under. Or if someone wakes me up before I've actually rested, forget about it—there's zero chance of falling back asleep. I feel drained, yet wide awake. To be honest, my sleep schedule has been a total mess lately; I have no discipline, hitting the sack at random times and sleeping for varying amounts of hours. Could I be just confusing my internal clock and triggering this insomnia? It doesn't help that when I'm sleep-deprived, my appetite goes haywire—I struggle to eat, yet I feel hungry again almost immediately after a meal. I'm also pretty hyperactive and my mind won't stop racing—I can't seem to unwind once I hit the pillow, thoughts just loop endlessly, and I find myself tossing and turning constantly. Any advice?
