Ever since the holiday season kicked off, my sleep schedule has been drifting later and later... I used to hit the sack around 4 AM and drift off almost immediately. Lately, though, things have shifted; I’ll lie there at 3 AM just tossing and turning until 5. My mom mentioned she’s been struggling with her sleep lately too. Now, I’m heading to bed around 2 or 3, but sleep is nowhere to be found, yet I somehow end up waking up around noon or 1 PM. It isn't even a matter of stress or anything like that; it's just a total inability to shut down. 🤷

Does anyone have any advice or suggestions? I thought about taking some Dramamine—since it makes me nauseous, it usually knocks me right out—but I couldn't track any down anywhere.

Fix your lifestyle—you’ve gotten way too lax, and clearly, your brain is feeling the consequences. Get back to a normal routine; what’s with this whole staying up until 2:00 or 3:00 AM thing?
Keep yourself busy during the day—find something productive to do so you actually wear out both your body and your mind.
Try hitting the sack before midnight and aim to wake up around 7:00 or 8:00 AM.

Waking up at 7:00 AM... 🙏

I don't have much left to push my body with; I used to spend my younger years out on the basketball court, but I can't exactly see myself playing that over frozen ice... 🤷

I'm actually going through the EXACT same thing... except mine has been dragging on for a few months now. It all started right when I began prepping for my finals.
Honestly, I think the main culprits in my case are stress and probably not getting enough physical activity.

..you aren't alone here... I'm dealing with the exact same thing. I don't usually hit the pillow until 4 or 5 in the morning, and then I'm dragging myself out of bed somewhere between noon and 2 PM. I try to force myself to wake up earlier so I'm actually tired by nighttime, but it’s a losing battle. Once I finally drift off, I’m dead to the world—no amount of noise can pull me out of bed. Honestly, if anyone tries to mess with me while I'm out, I might actually lose it. 😁..I’m thinking about just staying awake for one full night straight to see what happens..

Every time I try to hit the sack, I don't actually drift off until around 4 AM—usually later, honestly. This has been going on for about two weeks now. And getting up before noon? Forget it. I can force myself awake, but it feels like someone took a baseball bat to my head. 😁 I tried exhausting myself physically to see if that would help, but it didn't do a damn thing.

I can't sleep either—and even when I actually wear myself out during the day, I still can't drift off by 7 AM.🤷

I guess stress and basically zero exercise are the main culprits for me.

Me too. Ever since I started studying for those entrance exams back in April—yeah, since last year—I haven't been sleeping a wink. 🤷

No fix in sight either... 😢

Any advice??
Later.

I guess there’s just something about getting up right at lunchtime that feels great.

I’m right there with you on that one...
though for some reason, the people around me don't seem to feel the same way. Not sure why that is.🙄
