I would be immensely grateful if someone with actual expertise—or perhaps just someone who has personally navigated both options—could offer some insight. My primary objective is to tone my muscles and address some skin laxity that has developed following childbirth. To be perfectly clear, weight loss is not at all my goal; I am quite intent on maintaining my current weight. Given that specific priority, I am trying to determine which of these two paths is more effective for tightening the skin and firming up muscle tissue. Thank you in advance for your time.

In your specific situation—since you mentioned wanting to focus on toning up that skin and really firming up the muscle tissue—weight training is definitely the way to go. It’s your primary goal, so stick to that! However, I’d say it wouldn't be a bad idea at all to sprinkle in some aerobic exercise too—think of it as a way to get the circulatory system moving—which can be incredibly beneficial for women who are in that postpartum phase. And, of course, don't forget the basics: staying hydrated with about two liters of water a day and aiming for five smaller, high-quality meals instead of just three big ones.

I'm with goldenfox24 on this one. A mix is definitely the way to go. The main reason I’ve stuck with Aerobics Plus for years is that social aspect. Hitting the gym alone or going for runs just isn't my thing—it drives me crazy. Having those few hours with the group means a lot to me, and it's good to see how everyone else is progressing. Regardless, I highly recommend trying to make it at least three times a week, if you can manage it with the baby.
