🤷I swear—and I mean I’d swear on everything I hold dear—I nearly lost my mind from pure terror last night. I was just showering when I felt it, and honestly, it was terrifying. I’m 27, I’ve never given birth, and while I try to be really careful about my health, this was enough to make me spiral. I’m currently working in Kuwait, so there’s absolutely no way for me to just pop into a gynecologist's office here. Please, I just need someone to tell me that everything is going to be okay.

Don't freak out, being able to reach your cervix is totally normal. 😉

So, where are you at in your cycle? Some women use "cervix checking" as a way to track things when they're trying to get pregnant.

Basically, during the first half of your cycle—before ovulation kicks in—the cervix feels firm (kind of like the tip of your nose), sits low in the vagina (so it’s super easy to reach), and stays closed and dry.

Around ovulation, though, things change. The cervix softens up (more like feeling your lips), opens slightly, and moves higher up (making it harder to reach). It also gets sensitive and wet with cervical mucus, which I guess helps sperm make the trip to the egg. A few days after ovulation, it goes back to being firm and closed again.
