So I’ve got a massive problem on my hands. My dentist prescribed me some Clindamycin because I have this brutal tooth infection that just wouldn't quit. Everything seemed fine at first, until things went south real fast 😢 😵 . Get this—the exact same day I started the antibiotic, my period hit. And it wasn't just a normal period; I’m talking intense pain in my lower abdomen, my kidneys, my lower back, plus diarrhea... it was absolute chaos. This was about two and a half weeks ago. After a week on the Clindamycin—and I didn't think much of the side effects since, you know, period cramps are normal—I realized nothing was stopping. My fever was consistently running high and I looked like a ghost. I finally decided to stop taking the Clindamycin because the tooth inflammation actually calmed down. That was all happening during that first week. Then, over the weekend, my period seemed to taper off. I thought, "Great, finally," but then everything flared right back up a week and a half later. 😲 The bleeding just won't stop. I rushed to see my OB-GYN, who basically brushed me off and told me to come back in two weeks because the bleeding should have stopped by then. Are you kidding me? So here I am, it's Wednesday, and I've been bleeding for two and a half weeks straight. On top of that, my right kidney has been aching for a week. I'm heading back to the gynecologist tomorrow for some intensive testing (assuming they'll even see me if I'm still bleeding). Does anyone have any clue what is going on? I’m convinced it might be a reaction to the Clindamycin—I can't see any other cause besides some kind of systemic inflammation. Has anyone else gone through something like this? 🤷
