I have a lump—or I think it’s a cyst—in the fleshy area to the left of my clitoris. For a long time, I assumed it was a Bartholin's cyst, but this is located further out on the pubic mound where hair grows.
I haven't mentioned this to a doctor or anyone else until now. It hasn't bothered me at all, but over the last few months, it has started to hurt. Even the slightest pressure from sitting down wrong or wearing tight clothing causes discomfort. 😢

I plan to talk to my mom about this week, and then I will schedule an appointment with my doctor next week because the pain is getting worse.
Does anyone have any idea what this might be? Has anyone dealt with something similar? Please, I could use some comfort right now.

The area near the clitoris could be a Skene's gland (if I recall correctly), or it might just be an inflamed sebaceous gland.

Actually, it is more toward the groin area; I wasn't quite sure how to describe it. I did a little reading, and it might be a lymph node or perhaps a cyst.

You say you've been dealing with this for five or six years now, so I guess... why haven't you gone in for an exam or mentioned it to your doctor in the meantime?

I have never actually visited a gynecologist before.🙈
I was planning on waiting until my annual physical next year, but given how things are going, I don't think I can wait that long.😢
I've been trying to find the courage all week to talk to my mom about this, but I just can't seem to find the right moment.

Hey. I’m actually going through the exact same thing. You definitely need to see a gynecologist. I don't know how old you are, but you should really go at least once after your first sexual encounter...
My cyst—or whatever it is—suddenly flared up so badly that my doctor put me on antibiotics and some heavy-duty painkillers. But honestly? It doesn't seem to be doing anything. I've heard that most of the time, they just end up having to do surgery. Oh boy...
