Need some advice. I’m looking to grab some colored contacts for about a month just to switch things up a bit. I have blue eyes and blonde hair.
The question is: which color would actually pop?
I was thinking light blue, but I'm not sure if they'll even make a difference on eyes that are already blue—like, will they actually brighten them up?
Anyone here tried this? Any tips?

😕 😁

Got dark blue eyes? You seriously need to look into getting some colored contacts immediately. Trust me on this one.

I have great eyes

Look, if you’re going to make changes anyway, go big or go home. This half-hearted approach isn't worth your time.

Just switch it to green. 😁

Do you think this would actually look good on me?
The people at my college told me green isn't my color.
Ugh.
Basically, everyone is telling me to stick with my dark blonde.
But I really, really want to go light blonde.

What’s the actual damage when it comes to colored contact lenses?

Since we're already talking about health... I gotta weigh in on this: I saw some post online recently claiming those colored contact lenses are actually pretty bad for your eyes (can't remember where I read it, honestly)

Look, I know they're bad for your eyes... but nothing much is going to happen in a month. TVs and laptops are terrible for your vision too, not to mention a hundred other things.
The price is roughly 200—$100assuming that's per month...
Red... hmmm. Let's try being objective here.

So, I’ve used colored contacts before. Since I'm blind—which explains why I wear them—I decided to try out some colored ones that one time.

My eyes are green, so I went with dark green lenses... I honestly don't remember the price, though; it was several years ago—I can't even recall the exact amount... sorry... 😢 Obviously, they did change my eye color...

Anyway... what was the point of this post again? 🤔 😁

Look, I’m literally just asking for a color suggestion here.

Wait, so colored monthly contact lenses actually exist? I suppose they do—where would one even go to pick those up, and what kind of damage are we talking about regarding the price tag?

Yeah, colored contact lenses definitely exist. And no, they aren't going to ruin your eyesight. As long as you wear them properly and don't have any medical reasons to avoid them—meaning your eyes need to be healthy and free of infections or anything like that—you should be fine.

Personally, if I were looking into any kind of contacts, I'd head straight to an eye doctor first just to make sure everything is okay with my vision. That’s exactly what I did before I started wearing mine.

The price really depends on what you're looking for. You can find basic ones for around $133, but custom-made ones are way more expensive. Plus, there's a huge variety out there; some just change your eye color, while others have patterns like flowers or different designs. Then you've got the extreme stuff, like bright pink ones or even cat-eye styles.

You should do a little digging online. A few months ago, I stumbled upon this really detailed website from a big-name US optical chain that had tons of info on colored lenses along with photos...

Look, sorry—I can give you some input on the meds, but when it comes to colors—well, I guess that's more of a personal call. I can't really pick a shade for you... 😕

Just go with whatever you like. 👍

I have a massive weakness for blondes with blue or green eyes. Green always wins in my book—I call them "Mississippi River eyes"—while blue ones remind me of the waters around Key West 😁
Honestly, I don't think you even need contacts, but if you’re set on them, go strictly with green. Brown eyes are just way too common, and any other color feels a bit too intense for my taste.
So, green eyes and then head straight to Boston 😁 ...

I guess you don't even need contacts—but if you’re hell-bent on getting them, stick to green. Brown eyes are everywhere, and any other color just looks a bit too intense.
So, green eyes—get yourself to Boston. 😁 ...

These are my favorites... I guess. 🙄 Look, I realize this is a total tangent—not that it matters much—but since you clearly know more than I do, I might as well just ask. I guess what really boils down to is this:
blue
Blue or green eyes—I guess it depends on the person.
😕

If those two criteria are met, I guess your chances are okay. Though—on one hand—those standards seem pretty meager. On the other—you've got some serious luck... because look, if that’s all it takes to find a good woman—then man— 👍

By the way—since this actually ties back to the topic—she wasn't even asking if she needed lenses or not; she was more interested in which ones to get, the pricing, and things like that... I guess.

Seriously, you guys aren't reading what's written above...
Price isn't an issue for me.
I want to change my eye color slightly for a month—they're dark blue, and my hair is blonde too...
So, I need some SUGGESTIONS on colors.
I was thinking light blue... seems fine.
But I'd rather you suggest something cool that actually pops.
Cheers,
and thanks for the replies.😲

How are we even supposed to know which color would look best on you? Honestly, you're overthinking this...

If price isn't an issue for you, why not just grab two or three different shades and see how they look?

Personally, I’d say maybe consider some purples🙂 I think that could be really cool.

What if WE suggested the color? 😕 I mean, we could potentially give you feedback on things like experience or pricing—sorry—but when it comes to the actual color, I guess you should probably decide for yourself... Why make it complicated when it doesn't need to be?
