Complaint about a Reddit post.

I’ve already gone ahead and used the reporting tool to flag this offensive post. It’s an absolute disgrace—they’re trying to paint me as some kind of malicious sociopath or a complete monster, which is frankly disgusting and incredibly misleading. Since this is my first time actually reporting something on this forum, I’m honestly not even sure if I navigated the process correctly.

Look, we can certainly disagree on whether the headline was "disturbing" or not—everyone has their own way of handling stress, whether through escapism and denial or by facing things head-on—but I am not interested in filing any grievances regarding the chat rules. However, I am insisting that this vile piece of garbage be deleted immediately, or at the very least, I expect a formal explanation as to why it remains visible.

I can't quite tell if the moderator decided there was nothing offensive about the post, or if we're just stuck in the usual routine where you have to wait a full 24 hours after a report is filed before anything actually happens.

Honestly, I’ve already submitted this twice now... at this point, we should probably just treat this as an emergency filing.

I’m still standing my ground on this: that post needs to be removed. Someone is using it to slander me by calling me an "unfeeling monster"... and let's be clear, that was written as a direct reaction to my explanation. It's aimed right at me.

If we’re going to use some sort of arbitrary yardstick to decide that the phrase "shake up USA" was somehow offensive, then how on earth can we use that same logic to claim it isn't an insult to call another person an "unfeeling monster"? Apparently, according to certain people, one is a problem and the other is perfectly fine. That’s just great. Truly the gold standard for communication here on Reddit and the forum.
