I flagged this post because it’s blatant hate speech—plain and simple.
It got deleted in the meantime—total bummer—but I managed to snag a screenshot before it vanished. I’ll just paste the quote here (though, hey, if you guys really want me to upload the actual image, just say the word and I'll get on it).
Topic: Venezuela / Global Affairs / Politics

Julius Caesar, Enej's son.
Is COVID-19 going to absolutely wreck the local thugs and street punks over in Tehran?
I honestly wish I could just take all those bearded types—you know, the ones who act like they have a monopoly on interpreting religion—and just skin them alive, one by one.

Look, his post was deleted—and honestly, it’s for the best. There’s absolutely no point in entertaining that kind of hate speech around here. It doesn't accomplish anything, and frankly, it's just a waste of everyone's time. 🤔

I’ve already flagged several posts from that "Americans in the States vs. Americans in Herzegovina" thread—you know, the one that's basically just a political dumpster fire masquerading as a discussion. Honestly, it's getting ridiculous.
It feels like some people on here just use their own personal frustrations as an excuse to take swipes at entire groups of people—basically using individuals as punching bags to smear everyone else—and yet, you guys don't even blink. It’s like you're just watching it happen. I’ve reported this stuff multiple times now, but honestly, it feels like it goes totally ignored.
Here are a few examples:
Reddit Quote: I mean, look—it’s all about perspective, isn't it? We get so caught up in the granular details of these debates that we lose sight of the bigger picture—the actual reality of how things function on the ground here in the States. It’s easy to get loud, sure, but being loud doesn't necessarily mean you're right. I've spent way too much time staring at these kinds of arguments online—mostly because I clearly have nothing better to do—and it always seems to come back to this fundamental disagreement over what actually matters. It's like when people argue about urban planning in Chicago versus, say, Houston—everyone has an opinion, everyone thinks they've cracked the code, but the nuances are where the truth actually lives. We tend to ignore those nuances just to win a point. Anyway, I'm probably just overthinking this again—typical me—but I think we need to step back and realize that most of these heated exchanges are just noise. Just a lot of static.
The whole idea of denying West Herzegovina County even exists—it’s just... I don't know, it's wild. It feels like people are just trying to erase history or something. Honestly, it's pretty bizarre how some folks can just look at a map or a culture and act like it's not there. It's one of those things where you start questioning if everyone else is seeing the same reality you are.

Reddit Quote: I mean, honestly—it’s kind of wild when you really sit down and think about it. We all just sort of drift through these massive, complex systems without a second thought, right? One day you're just living your life, and the next, you realize how much of everything is shaped by these huge, invisible forces—politics, economics, the sheer weight of history—that we barely even notice until they start bumping into us. It’s like being on a plane and only realizing there's turbulence once your coffee starts splashing out of the cup. You were fine, you were steady, and then—bam—suddenly things feel a little shaky. And I don't know, maybe I'm just overthinking it—definitely am, probably—but there's this sense that we're all just reacting to shifts we didn't see coming. It's a lot to process, actually. Just a lot.
Honestly, it’s wild how little you people from West Herzegovina County seem to grasp what’s actually going on.

Everyone from West Herzegovina County gets labeled as stupid—it’s like this universal joke that just won't die. Honestly, if I went around posting nonsense like "all Black people are dumb" or "all gay people have AIDS," I’d probably be swimming in reward points within a week. It's wild how certain groups just become easy targets for everyone's cheap shots.

Besides that—honestly, the whole thread is just one massive generalization aimed at all Americans from Canada.
Look, I get it—this probably isn't exactly the most thrilling topic for you guys to moderate—but once the sign-ups actually start rolling in, could you maybe just... keep an eye on things? Just a quick glance would be appreciated.

Well, corruption and nepotism are basically the signature moves for people from West Herzegovina County.

I appreciate your thoughtful observations.

Here I am again (logged in within the last 24 hours).

I find myself increasingly weary of the persistent delusions held by certain segments of our society regarding the supposed "uniqueness" of their struggles. It is a tiresome cycle. We see it in the way people cling to outdated grievances as if they were sacred relics, rather than the mere historical footnotes they truly are. One cannot help but notice how often the discourse devolves into this repetitive, circular reasoning. People demand recognition for being victims of circumstances that have long since shifted, ignoring the fact that the world moved on decades ago. It is an exercise in futility, much like trying to argue with a brick wall—except the wall doesn't expect a thank-you note afterward. There is a profound lack of intellectual rigor in contemporary debate. Instead of analyzing the structural realities of our current era, we retreat into these comfortable, albeit intellectually bankrupt, narratives of victimhood. It’s inefficient, it’s exhausting, and frankly, it’s beneath the dignity of any serious thinker. One would hope for more substance, but experience suggests that such optimism is misplaced.

Corruption and nepotism have become the unmistakable hallmarks of anyone hailing from West Herzegovina County.

Review:

That is a widely recognized reality and serves as a defining characteristic of nearly all "their" successes. Unfortunately, I suspect you are missing the nuance of my point here. There are plenty of remarkably honest and incredibly industrious individuals among them—in fact, they make up the vast majority of people from those regions. My observation pertains specifically to the "successful" ones. With voices that are either melodic or raspy. It is common knowledge where they originate... they don't come from just anywhere...
The term "Herzegovina" covers a lot of ground, but my old man always just refers to it as "down south"—just so there isn't any confusion about where he's coming from.

tutamuta said:...So, when I say West Herzegovina County, I’m talking about total extremists...

The people living in West Herzegovina County are over 98.5% American. Why is this kind of hate speech directed at Americans from that region being allowed to slide? 🤷
