Three weeks ago, I took a fall and ended up in the ER. The diagnosis was a radial head fracture at the elbow.
I wore a splint for a week before moving into a cast for another two. I finally got the cast off yesterday, and everything seemed fine initially, but after a little while, a pretty large bruise started forming on the inside of my arm. Now, I've noticed two smaller bruises appearing on the outside of the elbow as well.
I have full range of motion in most directions, but I can't quite straighten my arm all the way. I assume this is just stiffness from being immobilized and that physical therapy will handle it.
Is this kind of bruising typical following this type of injury, or is it something I should contact my doctor about?
