CRP test results

Because of my endometriosis, I have to head in for blood work every three months to check my CRP and CA-125 levels, naturally.
The thing is, my CRP seems to creep up just a little bit every single time. A standard reading should fall somewhere between 0.00 and 5.00.
My latest results came back at 8.76, whereas last time I was hovering right around 5.00.
Does this actually signify anything specific, or is this kind of fluctuation relatively normal?

Not really, though. The cutoff is usually 5, so a 7.3 means there's a little bit of inflammation going on somewhere.

CRP is basically just a way to track if there's any inflammation flaring up in your system. Since the normal range is usually 0-5, you’ve got a slight bump there—but honestly, don't freak out yet. It’s a super sensitive test, so it can react to all sorts of minor things. I'm guessing you probably had other bloodwork done too, so I'm wondering what your ESR looks like? And how was your urinalysis? If they suspect anything involving the urinary tract, things like urates and creatinine clearance are pretty much standard procedure. Also, if your CA-125 is within the normal limits of 0 to 35—which is the typical marker for ovarian stuff or endometriosis—then you're probably fine. Still, you should definitely check in with your doctor; they'll likely just want you to circle back and retest in a little while to be safe.
