I’ve gotta give it to Carol Lopez23 for being a solid moderator. Even when we’re dead wrong about each other's views, I never feel cheated by his oversight—which is a huge contrast to what happens over in the Spirituality section 🙄. You know, where things get messy. That guy Beljki constantly plays these psychological mind games, acting like some armchair detective without a shred of empathy. Do you really think citing Wikipedia gives your arguments any weight? It looks nice on paper (in theory), sure.
But in reality, distinguishing actual science from "pseudoscience" is a nightmare. There’s plenty of research out there that lacks a solid theoretical foundation, plenty of papers reviewed by incompetent experts, and countless results that are nearly impossible to verify. Plus, scientists find it incredibly hard to admit when their theories are wrong or outdated. That's why you have to be extremely careful when labeling something "pseudoscience," and even more cautious when calling something "science."
I'm not forcing my opinions on anyone; I'm just stating them like everyone else. Sometimes, when I'm short on time, I'll share links to things I find interesting regarding the topic. I don't always include the sources because some users accused me of "promoting" sites for profit. It seems pointless to try and paraphrase or "translate" what someone else wrote in my own words anyway. These links and descriptions just show different perspectives that don't always fit into the "textbook" mold; they just show that alternative views exist. Besides, most of the "knowledge" people claim to have is really just them quoting someone else.
