Dealing with calcification?

A recent CT scan of my liver picked up a 3 mm calcification.
My doctor brushed it off, claiming it’s nothing to worry about, but I’d really appreciate it if someone could actually explain what that means in plain English.

To put it quite simply—it’s just a tiny bit of scar tissue. It usually shows up as nothing more than an incidental finding, which means—provided it isn't part of some larger growth—it doesn't actually signify anything at all.
