Can someone please explain how I can tell if I actually have hemorrhoids? I’ve heard there are different types... basically, it happens quite often, though not constantly—maybe a few times a month, there's no real pattern. My bowel movements are usually regular and fine, but occasionally I deal with significant pain during a movement, and sometimes there's blood. Usually, I don't feel anything, but then this happens. My doctor claims this is just "normal" for us college students, which doesn't really comfort me much at all.
Also, does anyone know of an effective remedy? My brother was officially diagnosed, and his doctor prescribed some medications and ointments—something like FactSet—but he's actually feeling worse. He isn't a student, so dealing with this is even more of a struggle for him... Is there anything out there that is absolutely proven to make them go away for good?😕

FactSet is incredibly effective. You really need to follow a strict 10-day course. After that, they should vanish. But let’s be clear: blood in your stool isn't always just hemorrhoids... If it is hemorrhoids, FactSet ought to do the trick.

When hemorrhoids heal, you need natural remedies. You have to regulate your bowel movements to happen daily—not once every four days—and ensure things stay "soft." Diet can handle that. But since medical advice usually ends up as dead ink on paper that everyone ignores, I won't bother listing specifics. 😁
However, one thing works wonders for hemorrhoids. Eat one spicy pepper every single day (the kind from a jar—don't ask me about the processing, but they aren't fresh). Stick to that, and the hemorrhoids will disappear. 🙂
One "natural" remedy people constantly bring up is St. John's Wort oil, which, in my experience, does absolutely nothing...

A spicy pepper?!!?
Even the ones from a jar will absolutely wreck you if you don't cook them first!
From what I know, that’s one of the most basic things you're supposed to avoid when dealing with hemorrhoids. Where did you even hear that?

Look, if you want to stay on top of this, you really ought to rinse off with cold water after every trip to the restroom whenever possible—it helps with blood vessel constriction, or so I've found. If you aren't in a position to do a full rinse, at least make sure you're using wet wipes instead.👋

Just don't go overboard with the spicy stuff. I honestly can't wrap my head around this whole pepper thing... It reminds me of the time I got totally ripped off; someone sold me these capsules supposedly loaded with pepper and cinnamon to "boost my system"... when in reality, they were just meant to deal with hemorrhoids 🙄

Look, you’ve always got to give yourself a good cleaning after using the bathroom, whether that’s a thorough wash or just grabbing some baby wipes😉—you know, the ones with aloe. But more importantly, and I mean this is huge, you have to stay regular. You need to be hitting the restroom every single day without fail; constipation and hard stools are the absolute enemy here. Load up on flaxseeds, dried prunes, and just tons of fruits and veggies. And honestly, when people claim students are particularly prone to these issues, it isn't some mystery; it’s just because their lifestyles are a total wreck. Between the constant rushing around, eating nothing but junk, staying out late every night, and just generally neglecting basic hygiene... it's no wonder they struggle.

It doesn't necessarily mean you've got hemorrhoids. Hard stools can cause minor bleeding too. Don't sweat it. And if things are inconsistent, it's usually just stress or a crappy diet.
Drink plenty of fluids and grab some prune juice. It actually works.

Been away for a bit...

Here’s the deal: bleeding doesn't always mean hemorrhoids. But if that's what you're dealing with—which is obvious if they're external, or easy enough for a doctor to spot if they're internal—hot chili peppers are an incredible cure. My whole family has struggled with this for ages; my mom even had surgery, and I dealt with it for years myself. It gets to the point where you can't sit or walk without pain and itching, and it's never just a one-day thing. If I eat poorly, sit too much, or forget my peppers, there they are again. Don't bother with black pepper—that's terrible for digestion. Look, I'm not a doctor, so I can't explain why pepper is bad but chilies work; I just know from experience. Try it and see. Sometimes I forget my daily habit because I'm sitting at my desk all day, and then the symptoms return. As long as you eat your peppers, you'll be fine. If the gas annoys you, just scoop out the seeds and eat the rest.

If you're dealing with constipation (or just generally crappy digestion), maybe try some aloe vera tablets—specifically the ones from Amway.
I think you can find them somewhere over in downtown Chicago or around there.
My brother used to struggle with that stuff, and he managed to get through it with just three tablets...

So, let me get this straight—when it comes to your precious little forks, are we talking spicy or sweet?

I know it works for the spicy crowd. As for the sweet tooths? No clue.

For those people who think this is just some ordinary bell pepper you can stuff—here’s what an actual chili looks like:

Greetings from the Midwest. I deal with hemorrhoids myself, so believe me when I say there is no one-size-fits-all solution here. However, you might try this: take about 8 ounces of high-quality extra virgin olive oil and 20 sprigs of fresh parsley (roughly 5 leaves per stem). Warm the oil in a pan, then add the parsley. Stir it constantly—much like making a roux—until it turns a brownish hue. Remove it from the heat and let it sit for at least 24 hours. Afterward, strain the mixture through sterile gauze into a clean, sterile bottle. Once you have thoroughly cleaned the area, apply it topically. It is an effective remedy, provided the parsley is prepared correctly. Note: ensure you rinse the parsley under running water and pat it completely dry with a cloth before adding it to the oil; adding wet herbs will ruin your cookware. If you have questions, feel free to reach out at darkoprc@hotmail.com.

I've been dealing with this ulcer issue for over five months now. I actually stopped by a local CVS, and they suggested using some topical ointment which I've been applying for about three months straight. Honestly, it hasn't done much, and things actually got way worse last week—now instead of just itching, it’s actually stinging and hurting quite a bit.

Does anyone happen to know of a more effective medication?

Try using olive oil combined with fresh parsley; it worked wonders for me. I’ve ordered plenty of various supplements over the years, but frankly, most of them are just scams. Not every remedy works for everyone. Personally, I used Amoxicillin—take one immediately and then one later. It's quite effective at clearing up inflammation. No need to thank me, but give this a try. I make it myself and I'm satisfied with the results.

Perhaps .. 🙂

While medications might offer some temporary relief, they should never be viewed as a permanent solution. Any underlying digestive issues or hemorrhoid concerns can be addressed both permanently and effectively through the implementation of "cellular nutrition." .. 👍

A buddy of mine struggled with hemorrhoids for a decade. He tried everything—witch hazel, calendula ointment, even olive oil—but it was just a temporary band-aid at best. Eventually, he started experimenting and stumbled upon a real solution: a specialized hemorrhoid pad. You can check out the details here: http://www.hemoroids.com/
He says they work for both men and women.

Has anyone else dealt with prolapsed hemorrhoids? We’re talking stage 2 through 4 here. Has anyone actually managed to clear this up without going under the knife? Or found an ointment or device that actually does what it claims?

Are you some new spokesperson for the supplement industry, or just another nobody looking for attention?

Look, you're spot on.

Do yourself a favor—head down to a local CVS or Walgreens and pick up their homemade "ointment for hemorrhoids."
It’s absolute magic.

Also, try taking ice-cold showers—it helps constrict those blood vessels—or even sitting in a warm bath with some potassium permanganate. I haven't personally tried the latter, but I know plenty of people who swear by it.

So yeah, there you go.
😬

P. S. Are we talking external or internal here? Based on what you described, I’m assuming they're external, because the internal ones... well, those just hurt.
If they're external, hit up the pharmacy.

I’ve been dealing with hemorrhoids—both internal and external—since I was about 14 years old, and the daily bleeding was just constant.
I tried everything... ointments, suppositories, even those "natural" remedies people swear by, but nothing actually worked.

But ever since I started drinking 1.5 liters of whole milk every single day, they've basically vanished.
I have one glass on an empty stomach in the morning, then just sip the rest throughout the day. Maybe they just healed on their own, but I doubt it... because since I started the milk routine, my gastritis cleared up too.

Anyway, the lesson is you really have to watch what you eat and figure out which specific foods are messing with you, then just cut them out entirely.
