Hi there,

I'm 17 and I've been dealing with psoriasis for about two years now.
It wasn't really a big deal at first, but lately, things have gotten out of hand. It’s showing up on my nails, scalp, elbows, legs, and even behind my ears. I just can't seem to get it under control anymore.
I tried wrapping myself in plastic wrap once in a while, but I wasn't consistent enough to see much of a difference. Does anyone have advice on how to manage this long-term?
I've heard people talk about spa treatments—maybe I'll look into one when I get the chance.

Thanks,

I have almost all the symptoms except for the ones behind the ears and on my legs. Even though it hasn't been officially diagnosed as psoriasis, that's usually what people assume. I work in the medical field, so my job is high-stakes and incredibly stressful. If I take even a few days off, my symptoms improve. Just saying—stress plays a huge role here.

Inherited this stuff from some distant relative. Honestly, I don't know much about it... is it actually curative? All I've heard is that you can only really manage the symptoms 🤷 anyone else dealing with the same thing?

Missed this thread, my bad. Can we lock this one down? 😁

I’ve had some luck using a cream with the BELOBAZE blend so far. Right now, I'm heading over to Baku for some therapy sessions.

Hello,

I’ve been dealing with psoriasis my entire life. It first showed up when I was just 18 months old, and now I’m 28. I feel like I’ve tried every single thing people have suggested—everything from holistic remedies to heavy-duty corticosteroids. I've even done PUVA and UVB light therapies, plus various diet changes and whatnot.
In my experience, none of it really lasted long enough to matter.
Right now, I’ve started a new treatment regimen involving Stellar injections, which are administered subcutaneously. So far, it seems to be working.
The typical course lasts about a year; you get the first two doses a month apart, and then it shifts to once every three months... all while keeping up with regular checkups and routine blood and urine tests.

I suppose I'm just hoping this particular therapy might actually provide some lasting relief for once.🙂

I’ve got a 7-month-old little one, and we just got back from the hospital yesterday after getting a diagnosis of napkin psoriasis.
We were actually inpatient for a week getting treated, and while things cleared up quite a bit, it’s already starting to flare up again in certain spots.
The weird part is that we heard two completely different takes from two different doctors. I was wondering if anyone here has dealt with this specific type of psoriasis—does it tend to come back often, and what kind of treatment plans have worked for you guys?

Someone in my family was diagnosed with psoriasis, and honestly, besides using corticosteroid creams, nothing really works except getting some summer sun. She recently picked up this new ointment called Rips while she was out in Phoenix. After about two weeks, the scaling finally cleared up, though the redness is still hanging around. She showed it to her dermatologist at the Mayo Clinic, and the doctor suggested she layer on the steroids for a few days and then stick with the Rips. Her elbows and lower back look pretty clear now, so she’s going to keep at it..

Since this thread has essentially become its own standalone discussion—which, honestly, is a valid enough point in itself—I’m going ahead and locking this one down.
