Decortin and...

I’m honestly at a loss as to where to direct this question...

Is it safe to take Normabel on an as-needed basis while I'm currently on a course of Decortin?
Is there any issue with combining these two?

I drink occasionally, usually when I'm prepping for medical tests. I get super high-strung then, so I'll have a drink beforehand to take the edge off. I've been on Decortin for quite a while now. I haven't noticed any issues or side effects, and I don't think the label says they can't be mixed—it probably just suggests checking with a doctor first. My physician prescribed this stuff, so she knows exactly what my routine looks like; she wouldn't have given it to me if there was a conflict.

Another thing—now I’m dealing with shoulder pain and dark spots under my nose. I just checked the side effects, and both are listed right there. Do these things actually go away? I’ve only been on this 15/15/10 mg regimen for three days, so these symptoms caught me a bit off guard. Since tomorrow is Saturday, I can't exactly call the clinic right now, but the instructions explicitly say to contact a doctor if shoulder pain develops. Is there a specific thread here regarding corticosteroid side effects, or is this just a universal experience? I’d love to hear from others who have dealt with this; it seems like people rarely bring up these kinds of questions on the main board.
