Dell XPS 15 keyboard not working

Hey there!

So, my Dell XPS 15 keyboard finally gave up the ghost.

I've already wasted money on two cheap knock-offs from some random site—they worked for a few months and then died just like the original.

Is it actually possible to grab a keyboard with a German layout, swap out a few specific keys, and just use it like a normal person?
