Demolition Man

I’d rather pass away than skip posting this one.😁
It doesn't really matter if anyone actually cares about this silly movie, but I really have to tell you guys about this:

The movie was filmed back in 1991. You should probably pay attention to that specific year.

The story takes place somewhere around 2023, I think. Sylvester Stallone plays this tough cop from 1991 who gets frozen and then thawed out in that future we just mentioned (because, obviously, he’s the only guy in this new world who can catch an equally nasty criminal).

Sandra Bullock plays this cute modern-day cop, and then there's this scene:

They’re driving around in some high-tech, new-age vehicle and she starts talking about some President Schwarzenegger.
He interrupts her and asks, "Which President? President Schwarzenegger? You mean the actor?"
And she’s just like, "Yeah, yeah, that's him. He became President."
Stallone just rolls his eyes and goes, "Well, would you look at that. THAT guy became President."

Since Arnie and Sly have always been such good friends, I guess they even put Arnie's ambitions right into a movie back in 1991.

I think that was meant to be a thank-you note for that Terminator 2 poster featuring Stallone in The Last Action Hero. 😁

I guess I agree. It feels like maybe Arnold Schwarzenegger and Stallone just got a little too carried away one night and promised to be bros for life, so now they just keep paying homage to each other in their movies.

I don't think that's quite right. In *Twins*, when that Black man (Schwarzenegger + Black man) first enters civilization, he just stands next to a poster (*Rambo III*), strikes the exact same pose (like Stallone on the poster), flexes his biceps, gives a little smirk, and heads straight toward the poster. Someone was definitely messing with him.

Has anyone else noticed that whenever someone mentions "Pizza Hut" in this movie, the actors aren't actually saying that? It feels like the voices were dubbed over later.

Anyway, this whole thing involving Arnold is pretty wild, and I can't help but wonder if it's just a coincidence. 😁
