Hey everyone, a few weeks back, an infection flared up in my upper left lateral incisor. I’ve got a root surgery (unknown) scheduled for early next month. However, over the last couple of days, the inflammation spread toward my canines. I started a course of antibiotics and just had a new X-ray taken. My dentist confirmed that the cyst from the lateral incisor has indeed expanded toward the canine. Thanks to the antibiotics, things have calmed down for now. Interestingly, some pus drained near where my right canine used to be—I actually have a bridge spanning from my left lateral to my right lateral, but since the right canine is missing, the infection from the left side essentially migrated through the healthy tooth area. The pain has subsided for the moment. That said, the X-ray clearly shows a large root cyst on the lateral incisor pressing against the healthy canine. I asked my surgeon if they could squeeze me in sooner, but their schedule is packed, and people keep canceling last minute or just ghosting their appointments. My question is: am I safe to wait another twenty days until the scheduled procedure? Thanks for any advice! Best,
