It’s been 10 days since I popped my last Diane 35 pill—and trust me, never again. After being on them for a year straight, the side effects were absolutely brutal. Now that I've quit? My back is killing me and I'm dealing with daily headaches. Has anyone else gone through this? And more importantly, how long does this "fun" period actually last? Please don't tell me to go see a doctor—I've had quite enough of them already!

I’ve been on them for three months now, with another three to go. I haven't dealt with any side effects, and my blood work looks fine. It might be worth getting your own labs done and checking your hormone levels. I guess it probably takes about three to six months for your body to fully clear out those synthetic hormones. 😕

I went in for some bloodwork and the only thing even remotely off was my prothrombin time—barely hitting the borderline. Everything seemed fine for the first few months, but then the side effects hit. Mood swings, depression, irritability, headaches... just great. And don't even get me started on how much more painful my periods have become since starting this therapy.

Maybe you'll finally figure it out once your body clears all those hormones out. You can never really tell with those pills; I have a friend who actually started lactating from her birth control. She dealt with that for a whole year, and she isn't even planning on having kids...🙄

I’ve been on Diane-35 for about two months now, and honestly, I haven't run into any major issues. My periods are actually a bit less painful than they used to be—they still hurt, of course, but I can usually manage without reaching for painkillers.
I recently went in for some blood work, and everything came back looking perfectly normal.

At the end of the day, it really all comes down to the individual—one person might handle the same pill beautifully while someone else struggles. If this specific one isn't working for you, maybe try a different brand.

For the longest time, things were great: zero pain, energy was through the roof, I felt fit... And then, everything went sideways. My body has been completely haywire for the last year, and I honestly didn't connect the dots to the medication because, until then, they were doing nothing but helping. I finally quit them on New Year's Day. Right now, I'm dealing with some annoying breakouts, but even that’s clearing up. And that leg swelling I used to deal with every single night? It's gone. I still get some occasional aches, but it's nothing compared to how miserable I was just two or three months ago. My doctor is being totally dismissive, so I'm getting zero support from him. But I know deep down they were the culprit, especially since I'm not taking anything else.

Decide for yourself if you want to stay on them, but my advice is: absolutely not!!!!!!!!!!!!

Headaches, mood swings, constant fatigue... I couldn't even sleep. Not to mention I put on 30 pounds. Just imagine that. But apparently, I have to stick with these for at least another 5 or 6 months if I actually want to see any results. 😢

For me, Diane-35 was a complete nightmare... I stayed on them for about two years, and I ended up gaining something like twenty pounds. But it wasn't even that classic kind of weight gain where you're actually putting on fat, it was more like constant water retention—I just felt incredibly bloated all the time. On the bright side, my skin looked absolutely flawless, but honestly, that was the only perk.

Once I finally made the switch to Cilest, though, I haven't had a single complaint!

My skin cleared up, my periods are totally regular, my bloating is gone, and my flow isn't nearly as heavy as it used to be. Like someone else already mentioned, everything is so different for everyone. I just wanted to add that I didn't experience anything negative right from the start, either. I've heard people complain about headaches or mood swings, but for me, it’s been weirdly smooth. That said, I am planning on stopping the pill eventually. I just don't really want to keep putting those things into my body forever.

All I can tell you is hang in there; it eventually passes. It took me three months to finally clear all that crap out of my system, but you'll get through it.

I honestly don't get why people take this stuff when it clearly does more harm than good. Is it just that guys—husbands, boyfriends, whoever—can't seem to get a grip on themselves, or is there something deeper going on? Personally, those pills freak me out, especially the ones that leave you feeling like there’s something unnatural running through your veins...
Seriously though, ladies, props to all of you!
I’ve been in a committed relationship for ages now, and using something like that never even crossed my mind. My man takes care of business, so we're all good!

Personally, I don't know a single girl who's dealt with side effects from any kind of birth control. Every one of them told me straight up that they're fine—no crazy cramps, no brutal PMS. I've heard way more good things than bad. Even from my own experience, I've only been on them for a little while, but I haven't felt a thing....

Exactly. I don't take them for fun. I would never, ever use them just for birth control. I hate them. Honestly, they do more harm than good for me, but since I can't afford another surgery right now, I'm stuck.😲

Well, that's actually really nice to hear🙏 , a refreshing change of pace for once..
My sister tried them and it was a total nightmare: dizziness, nausea, headaches... and then I had this friend who was basically throwing her guts up constantly before we even figured out what was causing it. Another one dealt with terrible breakouts, and when she finally stopped taking them, it took forever for her skin to get back to normal. So yeah, I don't know. It feels like a toss-up.div>

I've been in a long-term relationship for ages now, and honestly, the thought of using anything like that never even crossed my mind. My man is respectful and we're good!

🤣 🤣 🤣 Let him keep being respectful. Birth control pills are actually a fantastic way to prevent an unplanned pregnancy, but obviously, one size doesn't fit all. If one brand makes you feel like crap, you just try a different one instead of coming onto forums to spread these horror stories based on someone else's bad luck.
