Hi everyone, I’m 18 and I’ve started noticing some weird issues when it comes to peeing. My biggest struggle happens when I’m out drinking—I’ll feel this intense urge to go, but once I actually get to the restroom, nothing happens. It’s honestly a struggle. I have to strain so hard that I can literally feel the pressure in my head, and even then, the flow is incredibly weak. I already went to see my doctor and did blood and urine tests, but he told me everything came back perfectly normal. Does anyone have any idea what might be causing this? Thanks!

Did those searches cover checking for kidney stones too?

Did those scans cover checking for kidney stones, too? If you're dealing with what people call "gravel" or tiny micro-stones, it can definitely trigger symptoms like that.
Kidney sand is actually pretty common out in California where the water is notoriously hard.

Thanks for getting back to me! Honestly, I'm really not sure about that one. I'm originally from the Midwest.

Sounds like prostate issues.

I'm honestly a bit stumped on what the next move should be, especially since all the results came back looking perfectly fine. What's the best way to proceed from here?

Forget what you think you know about your results. Go see a urologist, get an ultrasound, and let a professional confirm it. Besides, what tests did you actually undergo? You won't necessarily find anything in a standard blood panel if the issue is with your prostate.
