Digital Map Atlas

Anyone know of anything similar?

Doesn't even have to be 3D—2D is fine—as long as it works offline.

I messed around with Google Maps, but it’s way too bloated for me, plus I'm stuck on this ancient 56k modem so loading stuff is a total nightmare. All I really need is something that maps out the major world rivers, mountains, countries, capitals, and that kind of stuff.

P.S. Maybe this has come up on the forum before, but my search tool is acting up—no matter what I type in, I just get "Sorry - no matches..." over and over.

Microsoft's old Encarta used to have a world atlas...

Britannica has one too...

I used to have Amazon installed ages ago, but back then I didn't need it—just like most of the stuff I actually need nowadays. 🙂
