Dimples above the butt?

Alright folks, I’ve been stuck on this one for a long while now: What is the actual purpose of those two little dimples right above the butt?
Do they actually serve a function, or are they just there? The only thing I know for sure is that not everyone has them. Thanks in advance!

Are you referring to those points on either side, the ones that align with the posterior edges of the iliac crest?
They’re used to estimate whether the pelvic canal is wide enough for a safe delivery, or something along those lines. You also factor in the tip of the fifth lumbar spine process and where the sacral groove begins. That specific rhombus formed by those markers is what they use for assessment in OB-GYN practice. At least, if I’ve interpreted the question correctly and my memory of those anatomical landmarks hasn't failed me entirely.

And then there's the possibility that Clementine is still quite young, perhaps just starting to grasp the basic differences between genders... 😁

I don't actually have any of those little marks myself, though I did happen to notice just one single spot, right up there, roughly in the center...🙄

Well, I definitely have one. It’s this tiny little indentation right in the center, almost like someone poked me with a needle and left a mark... I've had it for as long as I can remember. What exactly is that thing?

Personally, I’m obsessed with those dimples on a woman's backside... it’s easily one of my favorite things.

As for those people mentioning a single point—the opening just below the tip of the coccyx where it meets the sacrum—that sounds more like a fistula opening from a pilonidal sinus...

Back when I was a young girl, I used to feel pretty miserable because those two little spots weren't even visible... mostly because everyone else seemed to think they were incredibly sexy.

Those little dimples—not just chin dimples, I mean those booty dimples😉 on a woman? Honestly, it’s an absolute weakness for me. Usually, I see them on women who are already built pretty perfectly.
I might actually go as far as saying it's the hottest thing about the female body.
Man, I can still picture this one Dutchwoman I saw once... she was such a knockout. She had zero clue that basically the entire beach (mostly the guys, anyway) was staring straight at those dimples, her curves, and that tiny bit of fabric barely hanging onto her hips.
