Direct Messages

I just got an email notification saying I have a new message waiting... so I head over to my inbox, and this is all I see:

Basically, my old messages are gone, there’s no sender info, and I can't find the new message either.

Can an admin please weigh in on what's going on here and let me know how to fix this?

It would’ve been nice if these were just leftover messages from when the forum crashed and trashed everything😁

Anyway, I'll just drop my question about PMs here so I don't clutter things up with a new thread🙂

Is there a way to stop these sent messages from being saved? Or is that just a global setting for the whole site?

Well, can I at least get a look at this new message?

It says it was sent by User "DraganaM," but when I search for that username on the forum, it tells me the user doesn't even exist... :confused:

That User seriously isn't even real.
Just delete all those messages... you can't see any of them anyway, and they're just cluttering up your inbox.

Walter Fowler53, just make sure you always uncheck the "quote" option before you hit send next time. 😉

Why can't they just make this the default setting already?

There isn't actually a message under that handle in your screenshot.
If it really shows up on the list like you say, send over a screenshot where we can actually see it. 😉

So, there isn't even a single visible message in that screenshot... which is super confusing. I got a standard notification email saying I had a new message, but when I clicked the link, it just sent me straight to that screenshot. Now, every time I try to check my PMs, I just get that same image again. Like, wtf...

Man, I was checking the forum yesterday and didn't see any new PMs... To be fair, I hadn't even scrolled through the old ones, so I'm not sure if I missed anything, but I didn't get the notification for a new message until today...

So, Dragana went ahead and blasted out a DM to everyone with a link to some random site 😁

I guess the admins finally scrubbed her post... 😬
