Which drivers should I actually install from this list? It's my first time doing this and I'm a bit lost.
1. Is everything I need on this list? Should I just go ahead and install every single category here?
2. If there are multiple options for one thing, which brand should I pick? (like for Bluetooth, VGA, wireless, or the touchpad)
3. Does the order I install them in actually matter?
4. If I download stuff from different sites, am I going to end up installing the same driver twice? (for example, does the Catalyst driver already include the VGA driver or something?)

I've got an Intel processor, a dedicated Radeon card, Windows 7, 64-bit, Bluetooth, USB 3.0, HDMI, and VGA.

I found drivers in three different spots:
- On the processor manufacturer's site
- On the graphics card manufacturer's site
- On the laptop manufacturer's site

When I plug in my info on those sites, these are the ones that show up:
Intel
* Intel ® Graphics Drivers for Intel ® Core ™, Pentium ® and Celeron ® Processors

AMD
* Catalyst notebook Display driver Acer

Acer:
* Audio_Realtek_6.0.1.6865_W7x64_A
* Bluetooth_Atheros_8.0.1.305_W7x64_A
* Bluetooth_Broadcom_6.5.1.4500_W7x64_A
* CardReader_Broadcom_1.0.0.250_W7x64_A
* Chipset_Intel_9.4.0.1017_W7x64_A
* Lan_Broadcom_15.6.0.6_W7x64_A
* MgmtEngine_Intel_9.5.2.1489_W7x64_A
* Touchpad_ELANTECH_11.6.23.203_W7x64_A
* Touchpad_Synaptics_16.3.12.37_W7x64_A
* USB 3.0_Intel_2.5.0.19_W7x64_A
* VGA_AMD_12.100.14.3000_W7x64_A
* VGA_Intel_10.18.10.3355_W7x64_A
* wireless LAN_Atheros_10.0.0.263_W7x64_A
* wireless LAN_Broadcom_6.30.223.75_W7x64_A

Any advice? Thanks in advance.

Since you've got a dedicated graphics card, go ahead and grab the driver from AMD first. Once that's settled, you'll want to download these:

* Audio_Realtek_6.0.1.6865_W7x64_A
* Chipset_Intel_9.4.0.1017_W7x64_A
* USB 3.0_Intel_2.5.0.19_W7x64_A
* wireless LAN_Atheros_10.0.0.263_W7x64_A
* wireless LAN_Broadcom_6.30.223.75_W7x64_A

I actually ended up installing both the Atheros and Broadcom wireless drivers myself—it really just comes down to which specific chipset manufacturer your hardware uses. My suggestion? Try the one from Atheros first. If you find yourself without any Wi-Fi access, just uninstall it, give the computer a quick restart, and then try the Broadcom version instead. You can follow that same logic for
:
Bluetooth_Atheros_8.0.1.305_W7x64_A
* Bluetooth_Broadcom_6.5.1.4500_W7x64_A

After everything is installed, just pop into the Device Manager to see if there are any yellow exclamation marks hanging around...

Thanks for the tips. No more yellow exclamation marks popping up, and everything seems to be running fine. My wireless connection is actually working, though I’m hitting a snag with the Atheros hardware—every few minutes the speed just tanks to basically nothing, making web pages take forever to load. Diagnosis: ("Problem with wireless adapter or Wireless Access Point").

But since Broadcom's wireless driver won't even let me run the installer (I keep getting this error: "update.cpp 1185 has occured and setup cannot continue"), I'm thinking the issue might actually be with my router rather than the drivers themselves, right?

That’s right... maybe try power cycling your router—just turn it off and back on again—and see if that does the trick?
