Is it just me, or has anyone else noticed that the email notifications for new messages have suddenly stopped working, or is there some kind of glitch happening with the forum itself? Is this something that can actually be fixed? Thanks.

Nobody is lifting a finger around here, so maybe this whole forum will just eventually go dark...☕

Hello? Is anyone actually going to do something about these constant notifications?

Annual vacations are starting up, so I guess there’s absolutely nothing happening until September...

Looks like they finally fixed that setting. Email notifications are actually working again... 🙂

Do you guys actually get an email notification every single time someone sends a private message?

Is it just me, or have things been completely broken since yesterday?

Is this issue affecting private messages, paid subscriptions, or is it just both?

These threads are getting way too cluttered. As for the private messages, I haven't a clue what's going on there.

I don't have my settings configured to allow posting in subscription-only threads.
But private messages seem to be working just fine 🤷

It’s been broken for me for a while now, too.
So, just to test things out, I swapped my email address over to a temporary one, and wouldn't you know it? Notifications for new posts in this thread are hitting that inbox perfectly.
But the second I switch back to my "real" email? Nothing. Not even the activation link for the new address shows up.

Is it possible we're looking at a simple email issue after all? Has everyone actually checked their inboxes? I mean, spam folders, deleted items... everything?

I don't have any spam filters set up on this email account (the filtering happens within my mail client itself).
This temporary address is actually just part of Abine's "Masked" service, which forwards everything over to my primary inbox, so that’s definitely not where the issue lies.

If one email address receives everything perfectly while the other gets nothing, I’d say the issue lies squarely with the recipient's side—be it a configuration error or a failure on the part of the service provider—rather than the sender.

Here’s the deal: everything was working perfectly fine with that initial email address until just recently, and then—bam—it just stopped.
It’s happened before too, where things go dark and then suddenly, out of nowhere, they start working again.
I could tell you exactly which email provider I'm using, but I'd much rather keep that to a private message.
