Look, I’m a huge hip-hop head.
I caught that guy on a track featuring Eminem, and honestly, the dude is incredible. It makes me wonder if he has any solo albums out—and if so, what are they called? I really don't feel like digging through Google because the search results are usually just a mess of garbage...

The guy is dropping an album sometime in February, and based on everything he’s been teasing, it looks like it’s going to be an absolute massive hit.

Man, that Frankie guy has a flow that’ll knock you right off your chair—"machine gun fire," basically. 😁

Out of all those hip-hop artists from Canada, he seems to act like he's playing the "I'm the hottest guy in the room" card... all that "sweet as a cake" stuff, girls screaming, blah blah blah...

It feels like there isn't a single track on FMJAM that doesn't feature him at some point.

For instance, back before the whole boom era, even on our local American radio stations, you'd hear "persa from the mahala" by sova being introduced by these clueless DJs: "...and up next, we have something from these crazy brothers..." 😁

That track is actually solid, and I still dig "bila je tako lijepa" by sova too.

And SIN: "Za tebe od mene III"—that one is just incredibly powerful!!

Generally speaking, the hip-hop scene over here doesn't get nearly enough mainstream media coverage—everyone just seems obsessed with talking about Edo—so most people have no clue what the actual landscape looks like. But honestly, there are plenty of talented people out there churning out some seriously high-quality music...

To me, they’ve got actual soul and style in their rhymes—they aren't all puffed up and full of themselves like those guys out of Washington, D.C.... I always say we just need to get our producers and their lyricism in the same room...

The guy doesn't even know how to write a decent verse, he just tries to act all tough in some battle style, so it gets old incredibly fast.

As for Sova, you can actually find their entire album over on FMJAM, so feel free to just go ahead and download the whole thing... Most of the beats were produced by Mayer, who isn't even part of the group anymore, but still... I just caught word that the album is dropping in about a week. The label handling the release for the US and Canada is Menart.
I've already sat down and listened to most of the tracks, and honestly, I have to say, the quality is top-notch...

FRENKIE is a god. Look, the whole "Edo is already legendary in Canada" thing is such a cliché—everyone knows him and everyone listens to him—but if you want my honest, subjective opinion, the best CD in the entire American scene right now is FRENKIE's DOSTA!. If you actually care about hip-hop, you have to hear this. Just listen to it and you won't be able to stop; the sound hitting your ears is pure force.
