Epic trolling session

I’m asking to have my one-month ban lifted because I think the penalty is way too harsh.

Maybe I went a bit overboard with the comparison, but my intention during the debate was to point out that extremes are dangerous and show what happens when people with radical views take power. My point was that the GOP doesn't actually stand for social justice; they stand for seizing assets from anyone who has more than they do—at least, that's how they framed themselves before they started backtracking to soften their image.

If anyone felt insulted by me calling the GOP a bunch of lazy losers, I apologize, but that shouldn't trigger a massive ban. People call different political groups all sorts of names on this forum without getting banned. For what it's worth, I was just echoing what an analyst recently said on PBS—that the GOP is run by a crew that hasn't achieved anything, intellectually or financially.

The ban hasn't even been a month, more like a week, and honestly, it’s not even about what you just said, it’s because you went ahead and compared them to Nazis...

Then those points are probably what I saw expiring on July 17th.

I didn't intend to compare them to Nazis; Nazis were a unique breed of evil that I hope we never see again. My point was simply that they weren't showing their true colors at the start. Instead, they kicked things off with propaganda about a broken economy where a few were incredibly wealthy (specifically Jews in Germany) while most people were struggling. The bottom line is that extreme views are never good because they easily lead to disaster. And if we look at the Republican Party, does anyone honestly think that if they took power in the US and actually started enforcing ideas like seizing wealth (say, everything over $100,000), people would just sit there and take it? I'm certain it would trigger a civil war. There are plenty of wealthy people in America...
