Watched it the other day, still processing everything...

Good old sickly Takashi...

Recently caught Audition...

Truly imaginative stuff!

Run...Audition...man, that scene with the bag is heavy. Creepy as hell.

Heh, I watched it. Mostly just people sitting there with their mouths hanging open. Especially during those scenes in the greenhouse and the one in the bathtub.

๐Ÿ˜ณ It felt a little too much like a documentary at times, maybe.
But by the end, you kind of get this warm, fuzzy feeling. Like, family is everything, right? ๐Ÿคฃ
And that Audition... what a total disaster. ๐Ÿ˜ฒ

Hands down, the most disturbing movie I've ever sat through.
It makes Salรฒ, Eraserhead, and Pink Flamingos look like Disney movies combined...
Iโ€™d heard rumors about this one scene involving necrophilia and... well, a mess... and honestly? I thought that would be the absolute peak of the depravity. Turns out, it was probably the least sickening part of the whole thing.

The dialogue is pure gold:

(So, after this middle-aged guy gets himself stuck in a corpse, the very next scene shows him and the body in a small tub, where his wife tries to help him get free by pouring gallons of vinegar into the water)

Husband: You sure this is actually going to work?
Wife: They say it softens the tissue.
Husband: Wouldn't some warm oil be more effective?
Wife: At least it'll be easier to clean up later.

The dialogue is legendary:

Then there's the son, getting bullied at school and taking it all out on his mother.๐Ÿ˜‚ Truly the most dysfunctional family ever put on screen.๐Ÿ™

That milk spraying from the breast scene totally made me want to gag.๐Ÿคฎ

Iโ€™m pretty convinced thereโ€™s some deep symbolism and hidden subtext buried in all of that, but honestly... Iโ€™m still too shaken up to go back and watch it again just to dissect it.

Itโ€™s a film that manages to be simultaneously nauseating and incredibly endearing ๐Ÿ˜ ๐Ÿ˜ I really need to give this another watch ๐Ÿ˜ :besramnoineuspjesnokopiraxavierkat: ๐Ÿ˜

Man, this movie just refuses to leave you indifferent. Itโ€™s either a masterpiece or total garbageโ€”there is no middle ground.
I definitely fall into the first camp, though I have to admit, itโ€™s probably the most unsettling thing Iโ€™ve ever sat through.

That final scene hits way too hard. When the father is breastfeeding the son, and then the daughter walks in looking completely broken and joins them... ๐Ÿ™
