A few days back, I noticed a slight bump under my tongue. When
I lift my tongue, I don't see anything particularly swollen or protruding. It isn't painful, nor does it
sting; it is simply a sensation I hadn't noticed before.
It probably wouldn't be much of an issue if it weren't for the fact that, since yesterday, I’ve experienced intense
salivation. My mouth practically fills with saliva within a minute, forcing me to
swallow much more frequently than usual.
I am not currently getting my wisdom teeth, I have no dental inflammation, nor do I have any known issues
with my stomach. It seems to me that most of the saliva is being produced underneath the tongue.
I have an appointment scheduled with my dentist toward the end of the week, so I was wondering if anyone
might have an idea as to what this could be? Perhaps some sort of inflammation, or maybe something much
more serious?
Judging by how things feel, I don't seem to have any canker sores.
