Eye area issues?

To be honest, I haven’t been sleeping well lately. Between college coursework and everything else on my plate, I’m constantly sleep-deprived, which is definitely showing in my dark circles. However, after an exhausting morning following a sleepless night, I noticed a dark purple spot about 5.6 millimeters wide right under my eye on the lower eyelid. It isn't painful, but it is extremely noticeable.

Should I be worried? Does anyone know what this might be or if it's permanent, or will it clear up once I finally catch up on some rest? Could it just be a bruised vein? I would appreciate any help.

It sounds like some kind of bruise... it should fade in a few days, nothing too serious 😉

if it isn't gone in about a week, or if it doesn't at least start to shrink or fade, then you should check in with a doctor...

but honestly, I don't think you really need to worry 🙂
