Font keeps glitching!

The font on this forum seems to have a mind of its own lately, constantly shrinking for no apparent reason, which is honestly pretty annoying when you're just trying to read comfortably.

Also, that sidebar "marketing" stuff is such an eyesore because it eats up so much horizontal space on the site (not that I care too much, since I'm running AdBlock Plus to avoid all that junk). I know deep down they probably aren't going to get rid of it, but I still felt the need to speak my piece...



I’m sure everyone here is already well-acquainted with all the massive server errors, those random stretches of downtime, and all the other ridiculous glitches we deal with. Honestly, I don't expect much to change given how long these issues have been dragging on—at this point, it feels like these bugs are practically part of the forum's brand identity...

Looks like you shrunk your font size by accident... Just hit Ctrl+0 and it should snap right back to the default setting. 😉

Not really... It seems to shrink back down to normal whenever I start clicking through different threads or subforums. If I had actually messed something up on my end, you'd see it happening across every single website I visit, but this issue feels like it's strictly limited to this specific forum...

So, are you actually going to do what I asked? ☕

Honestly, nothing changes when I try that fix you mentioned. The font size just shrinks whenever it feels like it. One minute I'm reading a thread and everything looks fine, then I click on another one and suddenly all the text is tiny, then I go back to a third thread and it's back to normal again... it’s just this constant, weird loop...

Just to be clear, this is only happening here on this specific forum. Every other website I visit works perfectly fine. It's not like it's a huge deal for me since my eyesight is pretty sharp; it's just a little annoying, though it doesn't really affect my life or anything. To be blunt, the chances of someone in charge actually fixing this are basically zero, so I'm not going to waste any more energy trying to fight it...

0 on the left side of the keyboard—not the number pad. I mean Ctrl+0, right above the O and P keys.

Or you could just hold down Ctrl and use your mouse wheel to scroll. Honestly, you can also just hit Ctrl and plus to zoom in, or Ctrl and minus to zoom out. Because that’s really all your "error" boils down to...

You could always try holding down the Ctrl key while you scroll with your mouse, or simply use the Ctrl and plus key to zoom in and the Ctrl and minus key to zoom out. Isn't that exactly where the "error" in your current approach lies?

I can see where you're coming from, and I agree that's likely the core of the issue, but wouldn't it also be possible to trigger it using the numeric keypad? It seems to me that any zero key could potentially serve the same function.

It should work fine, provided you have Num Lock turned on—though I usually keep mine off just to avoid that annoying little LED constantly staring at me. 😁
