So, I finally got some of my hormone lab results back from the Mayo Clinic, and honestly, I’m just staring at them wondering what on earth they actually mean. If anyone here has experience reading these things or has dealt with something similar, I would seriously appreciate a hand figuring this out.
The only thing flagged—probably because it's outside the "normal" range—is my sex hormone-binding globulin, which came in at 129.5 (the reference range says 15-120). Does that even mean anything significant?
Then there are these two other values that are lower than they should be, though they aren't highlighted or anything. My estradiol is sitting at 85.6 pmol/L, but according to the chart, the follicular phase should be 110-1100, ovulation is 360-2200, the luteal phase is 360-1100, and menopause is anything under 37.
The second low one is my luteinizing hormone (LH), which is only 0.5 IU/L. For comparison, the normal ranges are 2-12 for the follicular phase, 8-20 during ovulation, and 1-10 for the luteal phase.
Any idea how I should be interpreting all of this?
