Friends list and stuff

I was wondering what this friends list actually entails? Specifically, I'm curious about what happens when I add someone to my friend list or if I decide to put them on ignore—I assume that means their posts won't show up for me anymore, right?...

Also, could someone explain how these recommendations work? And, if you don't mind me asking, what is the best way to recommend someone else?

I suppose I have quite a few questions for one day...

I tried clicking the quick link to pull up my friends list, but my computer just made this incredibly rude noise and nothing happened. Anyone know what's going on? 😕

I tried everything under the sun just to add someone to my friend list. I kept getting an error saying they weren't even in the database, which is ridiculous since I clicked their username right from one of their posts.
