I need a gaming rig by $1433.

I definitely want a 250GB SSD in there.

Just looking for the tower itselfβ€”don't bother with peripherals or a monitor. 🍿

Intel Core i7-4770K
ASUS ROG Maximus Motherboard (SAM3, DDR3, SATA III, LAN, USB 2.0/3.0) ATX Box
LC Power CPU Cooler LC-CC-95 - 90mm Intel/AMD
SanDisk 240GB SSD, UV400 SATA 3
MS CHAMPION gaming case (no PSU included)
EVGA Power Supply, Modular Power Supply, US version, 5yrs
EVGA GeForce GTX 960, 1178MHz/7010MHz, PCI-E 3.0 x16, 3x DP, HDMI, DVI-I
Kingston Fury DDR3, 1866MHz, 8GB Black HX318C10FB/8

Total cost:$1420 Best Buy

Maybe I'll add 2 more case fans, one front and one rear:

An HDD won't fit this budget, by the way. Not unless you drop down to a GTX 950.

Fine, I don't even need an HDD anyway.

Do I seriously have to tell the guys at the shop exactly where to mount these fans?

Can you budge on the price just a little bit? It’s honestly a shame to pass up a better deal; going with the i5 is a massive upgrade for gaming compared to that AMD chip.

1x MSI H81M-P33, LGA 1150
1x Intel Core i5-4460 (6MB Cache, up to 3.40 GHz), LGA 1150
1x 8GB DDR3 (1x8GB) PC3-12800 1600MHz CL11 Corsair Value
1x Gigabyte GTX960 OC 2GB DDR5, 128-bit, 1253/7000 MHz
1x 240GB SanDisk 240 SSD
1x Fortron HEXA 400w 80+
1x MS Voyager mid tower

TOTAL: $1513

Personally, I’d hold out for the next generation of graphics cards. I wouldn't bother picking up another R9 380 or a GTX 960 right now. It makes more sense to wait for the RX 470 to drop; it should land somewhere around the 1400-$567 mark and deliver performance that rivals at least an R9 380X
.

Just wait a couple more weeks. Buying a new GPU two weeks before the next generation drops is just painful.
