What are your thoughts on how Garfield will look in the movie?
Have you caught the trailer yet?
The stills aren't bad, though he doesn't look quite like the character we know.
It feels a bit odd that Odie is a real dog instead of being CGI.
I've always been a huge fan of the Garfield comics, so I'd be pretty disappointed if they mess this film up.

The pictures look absolutely fantastic! I’m a little worried, though... Garfield looks way too happy in these shots. He’s usually such a grouch, you know? But hey, I guess we'll just have to wait and see how the movie turns out. 🙂

True. It is still six months away.
Garfield is the greatest comic strip ever made.
That explains why he is my avatar.
It is also strange seeing him looking so cheerful.
Bill Murray, don't mess this up...

I’m with you there—it would’ve been way better if they’d just gone full CGI with Odie, kind of like how they did with Scooby-Doo.😁😁
But honestly? I doubt they’re actually going to screw this up. It’s probably just some big joke anyway.😉

Look, Garfield is legendary. But honestly? Jennifer Love Hewitt doesn't exactly capture the vibe of the vet from the comics. In the strips, she’s this incredibly cynical character, whereas I suspect they cast Jennifer mainly for her assets.

I just caught the trailer for Garfield.
It was a letdown.
You recognize Garfield from the comics, but then there's Odie.
The only thing they have in common between the comic version of Odie and the one in this trailer is that they are both dogs.
They look nothing alike.
And Jennifer Love Hewitt is doing voice work too.
I am genuinely 😠.
If they mess up Garfield, I’m heading straight to the studio to tear everything down.

That teaser is honestly on par with The Mask 2—which was an absolutely abysmal preview. According to some entertainment sites, it might actually be one of the worst trailers released back in 2003!

Look, a comic strip is a comic strip, and a cartoon is a cartoon. But the second you try to turn them into live-action movies—like they did with Garfield, Scooby-Doo, and all those other animal cartoons—you end up with absolute garbage.
The movie is going to be total trash, and I mean seriously bad!!!!!!!!

This movie is going to be garbage. Pure Hollywood trash.
I caught a few clips and honestly, there’s no debate here—it looks terrible. Just really, really bad.
I actually grew up loving the Garfield cartoon, so it kind of hurts to say, but... I'm not even surprised. And hey, Jennifer Love Hewitt is in it? That pretty much tells you everything you need to know.
I’m already seeing the ads popping up on local networks—you know the type, "See it in theaters today, catch it on basic cable tomorrow." It feels like the kind of low-budget flick they'd air on a channel like ABC or something just to fill space.
Maybe if Hillary Clinton introduces it, it'll feel complete. Just to really lean into the whole ridiculous vibe.

Just saw that Garfield is hitting theaters soon!

Since Garfield is basically one of my all-time favorites, I'm actually pretty hyped about this. My only real worry is if it’s gonna be a total letdown.
So Bill Murray is voicing Garfield... hmm... the original cartoon voice was pure genius to me, but Bill Murray is hilarious... so, whatever, we'll see how it plays out.

I’ve got a seriously bad feeling about this movie.

But honestly, it’s mostly because I’m such a massive Garfield fan—I get a new comic strip delivered to my inbox every single day, and I’ve amassed a collection of Garfield strips so huge it’s practically hitting the ceiling (and no, that’s not because I’m particularly tall 😛).

On top of that, they actually managed to turn Scooby-Doo into a live-action mess that’s somehow even worse than the cartoon, which is saying something, isn't it? 😛

Yeah, I'm a huge Garfield fan too, so anything involving him gets me hyped, but once you bring up Scooby-Doo... 🙄 ... man, just gives me the chills thinking about it.
Fingers crossed that Garfield isn't even half as bad as those other cartoons. 😁

It’s a done deal! To me, James Garfield looks absolutely spot on! That critic is truly phenomenal—fingers crossed they don't completely wreck the movie! If it ends up being something along the lines of Who Framed Roger Rabbit?, it might actually be pretty hilarious! 😛
