How do I attach a file directly to a discussion thread? Basically, I’m trying to send someone a diagram within my own post.☕

So, what exactly counts as an attachment here?

An attachment.

It’s not that it won't accept it; the window actually opens, but when I head over to my Documents folder to grab the file for the upload, there is absolutely nothing attached to the comment.

1. Type out your post.
2. Hit the "Manage Attachments" button.
3. Pick whatever file you need from your computer—just make sure it’s under 9.8 KB. You’ve got to stick to the approved file types, too (usually people just attach documents here anyway).
4. Click Upload and just sit there for a second while it processes.
5. Finally, hit "Post Reply" to publish everything. Your attachment should show up right under your message once it's live.

Just a heads-up: you won't see the attachment while you're in preview mode or if you go back in to edit the post. Also, why bother uploading something that’s already sitting on a server somewhere? It's much easier to just drop a direct link.
