Hey everyone! I could really use some advice here. I’m 15, and I was playing soccer yesterday when I took a ball straight to the groin. When I finally got home, the pain was pretty intense and lasted through the entire night, but I didn't tell anyone because I'm staying at my uncle and aunt's place this week while my parents are away on a trip. Over the course of the night, my testicle swelled up quite a bit. Then this morning, I noticed blood in my urine, and it happened again just a little while ago, though maybe not as much as earlier. I'm honestly lost on what to do. We live out in a rural area where there isn't a doctor nearby, so I'd have to drive out to get medical help, which means I'd have to tell my uncle. I feel so incredibly awkward about it, though. The only thing close by is a local pharmacy, so does anyone know if there's anything I could pick up there? This might sound silly, but I've always been super shy about this kind of stuff. I'd probably only reach out to my parents if things got really bad.

The only real solution here is to tell your aunt and uncle to step in and get you some professional help. Seriously, what kind of future are we looking at when fifteen-year-olds are this thick-headed?

Look, I’m not slow or anything—I’m actually in a high school prep program and my grades are great—but I just feel so incredibly awkward. I honestly didn't know if people felt embarrassed about being dim-witted, because that's kind of how I come across right now. Is there maybe some kind of remedy or something I could just pick up at a drugstore without needing a prescription?

Don't go taking any unnecessary risks; you’re much better off just seeing a doctor.

Is there some kind of over-the-counter fix or something I can just grab without seeing a doctor?

Nobody here is going to help you. Honestly, the only way out is to go see a doctor.

While you're sitting here asking for advice online, you're just losing ground. Not even kidding—get to a doctor. It’s nothing to be ashamed of, really. There are much worse things out there. ☕

Look, just go see your doctor and get a referral for a urologist. Seriously, there’s no reason to be embarrassed about it. They see everything—big stuff, small stuff, you name it—all day long. Just get it checked out so you don't end up dealing with some massive tumor later on.

Look, if you’re really that uncomfortable, just go grab some ice packs and sit on them or something, but honestly? I think your best bet is just seeing a doctor about that blood in your urine...

1. Being a high schooler with straight A's doesn't mean you aren't primitive.
2. I didn't call you stupid; I called you unsophisticated, which explains why you're feeling the shame.
3. It is entirely possible to be intelligent and unrefined at the exact same time.
4. Stop stalling and go see a professional.

It’s a simple choice, really—either step up and show some backbone, or just accept that you've lost your nerve.

Man, just go see the doctor already, seriously—what the hell do you think it’s like for me or anyone else sitting through a colonoscopy when they’re shoving that scope in there...

There's zero shame in it. It's like getting hit in the groin by a stray baseball—it happens, it sucks, but there's no point feeling embarrassed about it...

Medical experts generally agree that symptoms like those usually only happen when there’s a massive impact—the kind where things get crushed directly against the pelvic bone.
Honestly, I think the guy should just come clean about who actually hit him instead of trying to hide it.
A stray soccer ball just doesn't do that to you. Back when I was in middle school, getting hit in the groin with a ball was basically a daily occurrence—it happened all the time! Aside from some temporary soreness, nobody was ending up with swelling or, God forbid, blood in their urine. Even when things got a little rowdy during recess and kids would take wild kicks to the junk, it was usually just a sharp pain and then it was over. So, in my opinion, this had to be a violent, direct strike against the bone. It sounds like the kid is just trying to protect someone and is too embarrassed to spill the details.
If you aren't at fault, I say go ahead and sue whoever did this!
And please, make sure he sees a doctor immediately—with injuries this serious, sometimes you need emergency surgery to fix everything.

Here’s the situation.... A couple of days ago, some "genius" kid from my school hit me in the groin and called me "hollow"—just some stupid joke he thought was funny. Since then, I’ve masturbated a few times and everything seemed fine, but today when I finished, there was this gross mixture of semen and blood. What am I supposed to do? I'm actually freaking out... I checked some threads on Google Answers and people are split—some say just wait a bit and if it keeps happening, see a doctor, while others say go to the clinic immediately. Also, is there any way this can just resolve itself without my parents finding out? 🤷😕🙂

Honestly, just go see a doctor—that’s really your best bet here. And hey, next time you're feeling bold, maybe give him a little kick in the groin and just say, "My bad, wasn't intentional," with a grin. :P

Oh, absolutely!

Just sit around waiting until your eggs go bad.

Nope. Getting hit in the balls can be serious business. You could actually lose one, so you should probably just head to a doctor and get checked out.

Next time, just kick your coworker in the groin and ask him if he’s enjoying the sensation. 😁
