Gmail won't send emails

Greetings!

The title pretty much sums up my frustration, and frankly, it’s a massive headache. Even though the interface tells me everything is fine and displays "message sent" after I hit send, the reality is a complete disaster. My "Sent" folder remains empty, and more importantly, the people I’m trying to reach aren't receiving anything at all. It’s like my emails are just vanishing into thin air.

I haven't touched a single setting; I haven't changed a thing. I have been using gmail for at least 15 years—if not longer—and I have never encountered such an absurd issue in all that time. I’m running Windows 10, and there haven't been any changes there either. The last successful email I managed to send was on September 27th, and since then, nothing. It’s not just the desktop, either; I can't get anything out via my phone.

I've spent hours digging through help forums and support documentation, but absolutely nothing I find provides a solution to this mess.

Has anyone else here dealt with this kind of technical failure, or does anyone have a clue what might be causing this breakdown?

So, look, I guess one possibility is that your hard drive is just completely maxed out; you might want to try clearing out some space to see if that helps.
Or, maybe you have some kind of email forwarding rule turned on without realizing it.
Have you actually tried doing a standard clear of your cookies and browser cache yet?
It’s also possible that your firewall or Antivirus software is stepping in and blocking your outgoing mail.

I ran into something pretty similar once when I was setting up an ad blocker for my entire home network and ended up accidentally blocking a few essential domains by mistake.

So, if you just send it straight from your gmail account, does that count?
Just jumping in on what Maher95 said... so, if you look at your Gmail inbox, way down in the bottom left corner, it actually shows you how much storage you've got left. Don't forget though, that 15GB limit covers your whole Google Drive too. So if you've got stuff syncing up or you're uploading massive files to the cloud, that's gonna eat into your space just as fast. Throw in some spam and all those other categories and suddenly you're out of room...

Also, try sending an email to yourself—like, use the exact same address to send it to itself.
