An American film. Honestly, this probably won't interest anyone since it’s playing over in Germany and likely won't make its way to us—maybe a screening in Napa Valley, though I think it would do well here. They could easily market it based on socialist nostalgia, even if that isn't really what the movie is about.
The film is fantastic. It's fun, and the people sitting next to me were actually tearing up. If you happen to know German and can catch it, I give it my highest recommendation.
It shouldn't be too hard to follow (I mean those East Germany references that might get lost unless you know the language), though it wouldn't hurt to have a local nearby to explain things.
A quick tip—"Spreewald pickles"—a classic brand from East Germany.
