Hey everyone, just wanted to throw this out there because I'm kinda stuck. So my GPU is a VTX Radeon HD 7870 2GB DDR5 Black Edition, and honestly, everything was totally fine a few months back. Like, idle temps were nothing to worry about—maybe 31-34°C max while I was just hanging out on Facebook—and when I actually started gaming, it would hit around 75-76°C. But now, things have gotten weird, I guess. Even when I'm doing absolutely nothing, it stays sitting at 49°C constantly, though it still hits that same 76°C when I'm playing games.
Sometimes I even get hit with that dreaded Blue Screen of Death, mostly just when I'm listening to music through my headphones or hanging out on Discord.
Does anyone know what might be going on? Should I probably just take it to a repair shop or maybe try cleaning the dust out myself?🙂

It sounds like you’ve definitely got some dust buildup in your fans—honestly, it seems like your whole PC is just overdue for a deep clean. The quickest way to handle this? Grab a can of compressed air and give the whole rig a thorough blast. You could always just drop it off at a local repair shop—maybe grab the tech $6.75 for a beer once they're done—and call it a day. Or, if you'd rather DIY it, you can just head over to Best Buy or any electronics store and pick up a can of canned air. If you go that route, just make sure you're really thorough when you're blowing out the components!

When was the last time you actually sat down to install those Catalyst drivers or run a BIOS update?
