Sorry if I’m doubling up here... I did a quick search but couldn't find a thread quite like this one...
So, basically, I was running through a pretty straightforward exercise—just standing upright, knees slightly bent for stability, holding some weights. My arms were straight out, and I was doing these slow front raises. I had about 22 pounds in each hand (take a look at the photo! http://leylasroom.com/wp-content/upl...ront-raise.jpg)
Then, right as I was lifting with my right arm, I felt this sudden, insane surge of pain right by my shoulder blade—specifically where those muscles meet in that diamond shape near the spine (check this image for the spot! http://drawsketch.about.com/od/human...f-the-Back.htm) It felt like someone had just driven a knife into my back, followed immediately by this intense, radiating heat flooding the whole area...
What do you guys think? Has anyone dealt with an injury like this before?
I'm honestly worried I might have actually torn a muscle.
It’s been two days now. It still hurts, though the initial white-hot intensity has died down a bit compared to day one...
Thanks in advance!
