Hard, bulging vein?

About a month ago, I underwent a procedure to relocate a dislocated shoulder, which required being put under general anesthesia. For a little while following the surgery, I was dealing with some pain running along my forearm, though thankfully that has since subsided. What’s really starting to worry me now, however, is that one of the veins in my forearm feels quite hard and inelastic, almost as if it's developed small lumps in certain spots. Has anyone else experienced something similar after a procedure like this? I would truly appreciate any insight or advice you might be able to offer.

Is it a vein? Where exactly on your forearm is this located? Does it hurt when you apply pressure, or is there constant pain? How are you feeling overall—do you have a fever? Is there any discoloration in that area, or perhaps some swelling in your arm?

I'm honestly not sure if it's an artery or a vein... it was tender when I pressed on it, but that pain seems to have subsided now. The skin color looks perfectly normal and there isn't any swelling whatsoever...

It’s the same thing for me. About a week after general anesthesia, my left forearm—where I had the IV inserted—feels off. The first 10 cm near the puncture site looks fine, but then there's this sudden thickening, almost like an irregular lump, stretching out another 10 cm. It doesn't actually hurt, just feels uncomfortable. Should I be applying some topical ointment and massaging it?
