Hard drive issues

Hey there.

Windows just flagged my hard drive as damaged—says I might lose everything if I don't get a backup going ASAP. Ran a quick test and attached the results here. Anyone know what's actually going on?

Why don't you try downloading CrystalDiskInfo? Once you have it running, just grab a screenshot and paste it here...

Like you can see, that hard drive is toast. Better swap it out ASAP before it dies on you completely.

That error message regarding that Samsung hard drive is definitely a red flag; it could potentially be a firmware glitch, but more likely, it’s a sign that the drive is starting to fail. Tried running a backup to an 8 GB USB drive and it cut out halfway through because I ran out of space. Is there any other way to do this?

An external hard drive? Or maybe some blank DVDs?
