Having issues with my SSD

I had it installed about two months ago, but I ran into some weird error, and now my computer won't even recognize the SSD at all. That's where my 60GB of data lives. Meanwhile, the standard hard drive shows up fine with about 110GB on it—plus Windows takes up maybe 50GB...

Any idea why this happens? Is it something I can fix myself, or should I just take it to a pro at a repair shop?

I managed to install Windows 7 just enough to get by, but I really need that 60GB on the SSD back!

Check Disk Management; if it shows up there, you're halfway there.

If it's visible, just format it to NTFS and you should be good to go. You might want to run a quick scan just to check for errors, too.

Also, take a look at Device Manager to see if the system detects it there.

If nothing works, double-check the physical connections.

It sounds like you might just need to manually format it.
