HDD Partitioning Help

I'm looking to pick up a hard drive enclosure. I need an answer on this ASAP.

So, are we talking IDE or SATA? And should you be looking at a 2.5" drive or the beefier 3.5" variety?
What kind of interface are we aiming for here—USB, FireWire, eSATA, or maybe some modern USB 3.0?

3.5 .It’s a standard cable, just like any other external device—one end is USB-A and the other is USB-B, I think.

I’m going to go out on a limb and guess we're looking at a SATA drive here. For instance, take something like Spira Gigapod 🙂

No, I’m pretty sure it’s ATA.
