Heat (2014)

The Director has some seriously solid hits under his belt and the cast is absolutely stacked, so honestly, this has all the ingredients to be a total knockout of a movie 👍

Man, what good titles could there be? Just look at his recent stuff—this is gonna be trash. Especially since it shares a name with that awesome Mann flick... but it’s not even a 😁remake of that one, it's actually about a different

I was honestly low-key terrified they might actually try to pull off a this Heat remake, because man, that would be a total crime against cinema.

That's true, but honestly, the way it was filmed makes it much better than the original. I guess it would have been a shame if they hadn't made it.

I don't get why they keep slapping the title Heat or The Heat on all these movies... Can they really not come up with anything more original?

His last Foreign film, Stolen (2012), was actually pretty decent, and before that, he had Exp 2 and that solid The Mechanic (2011) starring Statham. 🤷 If you ask me, those aren't bad movies at all, and honestly, his older stuff is even better.

Most of these movies are total trash—maybe Con Air is the only exception.
The cast was pretty weak, too.

Look, I know they say you can't argue with taste... but man, those movies are absolute garbage squared. And now we're all supposed to get excited about a remake featuring the exact same guy? Well, I guess to each his own, I suppose...

The new The Mechanic is total junk, so this remake doesn't stand a chance. I mean, the guy did direct The General's Daughter, which was actually decent enough—just a bit of a mess from a screenwriting standpoint...

Look, I get the whole "taste is subjective" thing... but honestly? Those movies are totally fine by me, which is why I'm actually pretty pumped to see a remake from that director... but hey, what can you do? It's like they say, there are as many opinions as there are people in this country. 100 people, 200 moods, right?

I won't even bother commenting, but seeing this reaction to Mann's Heat—which is honestly top-tier—just makes me skeptical. I'm not buying it.
