Greetings,
I am seeking some guidance regarding a medical dilemma I've encountered. Recently, I was prescribed a course of antibiotics to address a urological issue, but I was forced to discontinue the treatment prematurely because my stomach simply could not handle it. The side effects were quite severe—intense burning sensations and nausea—which eventually required a visit to an internist. Following a gastroscopy, the doctor diagnosed me with gastritis and confirmed that I am also testing positive for H. pylori.
I find myself at a crossroads. While I suspect my gastric distress was triggered by the initial antibiotic, there is the very real possibility that the H. pylori infection itself is the culprit. My current treatment plan involves a seven-day regimen of two different antibiotics, but I am hesitant to proceed given my current condition. My stomach is in terrible shape; I have been restricted to a very bland, gentle diet because almost anything else causes immediate pain.
Would it be more prudent to take Controloc for three weeks first to soothe the inflammation before tackling the antibiotics? Or is it absolutely necessary to start the antibiotic course immediately? I am genuinely concerned that if I delay, I might aggravate my stomach issues further and end up in a much more precarious situation.
Thanks!
